Students’ Association Applications & Petitions DUE TODAY!

Applications are DUE TODAY, February 26th! You can find the application attached here, online, OR stop in to the Students’ Association Office (Student Union, next to Extreme Pita!) to pick up a hard copy of the application and petition. Direct any questions to and look forward to more information regarding voting in the election March 20th and 21st!

David Coleman Dating Doctor: David Coleman is known worldwide as The Dating Doctor TM. His topics range from dating and sex to leadership, exceptional public speaking and team building. Join us on Monday, February 26th at 7:00 p.m. in the VBR!

UPC ApplicationsUPC is on the lookout for new coordinators! Applications for the 2018-19 University Program Council can be picked up at Information Exchange in the Student Union!  

Incoming coordinators will gain knowledge and experience with event planning, working with budgets, and advertising. Each coordinator on UPC is part of a vital team on campus and, if selected, you and the other coordinators gain life-long friendships with the rest of the students on the board. Also, this organization is a fun way to boost your resume!

Inaugural “The Big Event” by Student Sustainability Council

Want to give back to the Brookings Community, meet Brookings residents, and spend a morning serving with other students? Sign-up for The Big Event today as an individual or part of a group! The Big Event is a one-day event with the mission to give back to the Brookings Community and show them our appreciation. For more information and to sign-up, visit

Diversity Academy Session #6

The sixth session of the Diversity academy, Supporting Students from Underrepresented Backgrounds, will be held on March 2 from 10:30-noon in the Walder Room of the Student Union. All sessions are open to all students, staff, and faculty!  

Silver Wings Information Session

Silver Wings is a national service organization. We are dedicated to providing our community with acts of service and helping our fellow students develop professional skills necessary for the future. Our chapter here at SDSU is looking for new members and will be hosting an informational meeting on who we are and what we do in the Lewis room in the Union on Tuesday, February 27th at 7:30 pm. Anyone and everyone is welcome, so come enjoy some pizza and learn some more about Silver Wings! Email with any questions, or if you are unable to attend and still want to learn more!

FIRE Club Meeting (Finance, Insurance, Real Estate)

Don Greiner of First Bank and Trust will visit this week. He will be discussing business lending and more. Come learn about internship opportunities and career options! Pizza provided! Rotunda B at 7pm on February 26th (Monday). 

Awareness With A Purpose 

Join the efforts to help bring awareness to the research and funding of childhood cancer by attending Cubby’s TONIGHT anywhere from 6 p.m. to close. For every meal menu item that is sold Cubby’s will donate a $1 to With Purpose. With Purpose is an organization that raises funds for the research of childhood cancer. Join the movement!

Lost & Found Meeting

Come join for the Lost & Found Meeting on 2/26 at 7pm in JACKS PLACE! We will be having an open mic night where anyone can come and read poetry, etc. Everyone is welcome to attend! Lost & Found is a mental health and suicide awareness organization on campus. All SDSU students are welcome to join us in raising awareness! We meet every other week at 7pm in Wagner 157. 

International Student Survey

If you are an international student who is an undergrad at SDSU, please take this survey! The data that comes from this will be data I can use to advocate for change so that international students have a better experience at this institution. I am analyzing data to see what works and what could be improved and I need as many respondents as I can get so please take and share this survey! Thank you in advance :)
