David Reynolds

On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of the South Dakota State University School of Performing Arts, we are thrilled that you have expressed interest in our program!

Our school is a family. Many programs claim that mantle, but few truly live it. As in any academic family, there are challenges to be met, duties to complete and growth to achieve. Our faculty members proudly serve as musical “parents” to our students. They are extremely knowledgeable about their craft, and are uniquely qualified to bring students to new levels of musical excellence.

Participating in one of our music ensembles is a highly rewarding experience. The finest performances you may ever present in your life might happen while as a member of one of our groups. The memories and relationships you develop while performing may very well become some of your most cherished.

We hope you take the time to explore the information on our website. It introduces prospective students to our degree options, scholarship program, ensembles and professors. We believe you will soon see why so many students choose SDSU, and why they choose to be involved in music while they are here.

If you have any questions about our majors, our ensembles or our music scholarship application process, do not hesitate to contact me. I also extend an invitation to you to visit the SDSU campus and our school. You may call the School at 605-688-5187 or the SDSU Admissions office at 800-952-3541 to set up an appointment.

Again, we thank you for considering our program.

Sincerely,

David Reynolds, DMA
