Getting Started

SDSU has a wide variety of online programs and courses for students who need the flexibility of anytime, anywhere education. Follow these steps to get started.

1. Explore online learning.

SDSU offers associates, bachelors and masters degrees online, as well as many certificate programs and minor disciplines of study. If you are considering applying for an online program, this survey will help you determine your level of readiness for online learning. The post-survey feedback will provide you with information on what you can expect from an online course and help you understand what you need in order to succeed as a distance student.

9. Access your courses.

SDSU utilizes Desire2Learn (D2L) to deliver its online courses. Students enrolled in courses through SDSU have access to a number of video tutorials and guides that provide an overview of the D2L system. Login to D2L using your Self Service user ID and password. Locate Self Registration and select "SDSU Student D2L 101." Take some time to view these tutorials prior to the first day of class.
