As a part of its land-grant mission, South Dakota State University (SDSU) strives to serve the state of South Dakota by broadening access and opportunity to the benefits of higher education for all people. Thus, here at the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Accessibility (OMAA), we have a commitment to aid in the assurance that all students have access to academic excellence, have the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment and leave the university with the skills, perspectives and abilities to serve as leaders in their future work, communities and society.

Rev. France Davis

Rev. France Davis to speak at SDSU on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The Rev. France Davis, pastor emeritus of the Salt Lake City Calvary Baptist Church and a prominent member of the civil rights movement, will be a guest speaker at South Dakota State University during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Rally and Marade event to honor the life and legacy of the civil right activist.

Intergroup dialogue program to promote discussion, understanding

The Brookings Public Library, along with co-sponsors from the Brookings Inclusive Collaborative, Brookings Human Rights Commission, South Dakota State University Office of Multicultural Affairs and Accessibility and the Brookings Interfaith Council, is organizing a series of intergroup dialogues throughout September and October.

Hagen joins SDSU’s Office of Disability Services

Dan Hagen has joined South Dakota State University’s Office of Disability Services as an accommodations specialist.
