Student Success Advising

The Office of Multicultural Affairs and Accessibility currently has two Student Success Advisor positions. These Student Success Advisors work to support all students, but specifically focus on students from underrepresented backgrounds.

The role of a Student Success Advisor is not unlike that of an Academic Advisor. Although, there are some key differences. While an Academic Advisor's role is to work with students on things such as changing majors and registering for classes, Student Success Advisors help with all of the other things that life on campus might entail. Time and stress management, transitioning from high school to college, relationship building and guiding students to resources on campus are just a few of the ways that our Student Success Advisors assist students.

Students can connect with one of our Student Success Advisors in a number of ways. They can be contacted via phone or email by visiting the 'Our People' link at the top of this webpage. Appointments can also be scheduled with them via ConnectState, In addition, students can always just drop by the Multicultural Center and see who's available.
