The SDSU Veteran Affairs will host its annual Golf Tournament in Brookings, SD at EdgeBrook Golf Course to provide an opportunity for community members, veterans and service members to form new friendships aimed at providing great camaraderie and friendly competition.
SDSU Veteran Retreat—funded entirely through local donations and our SDSU Armed Forces Association—lasted 3 days and hosted 19 Veterans and Service Members. The retreat is designed to promote whole health and wellness by providing a meaningful experience in nature that facilitates exploration of personal goals, aids discovery of individual strengths and resiliency and comradery for Veterans and Service Members.

In partnership with the South Dakota Humanities Council (SDHC) and the SDSU English Department, we discuss the relationship between our own experiences and our reading selections. We provide reading materials for those interested in reflecting on military experience and culture. We provide tools, guidance and collaborative opportunities at any stage in the writing process for anyone looking to write their experiences in non-fiction, fiction and poetry.
During the week prior to Veterans Day, SDSU Veteran Affairs office holds several events throughout the week to saturate campus with military affiliated events and activities.
