Information for Graduates
2025 Spring Ceremonies
Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2025 will be held May 10, 2025, at First Bank & Trust Arena on campus. Each ceremony will be ticketed based on capacity.
Graduates, associate through doctoral degrees, will walk with their respective colleges at the following times:
- 10 a.m. – College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences and the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering.
- 2 p.m. – College of Education and Human Sciences, College of Nursing and the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions.
- 6 p.m. – College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and the College of Natural Sciences.
Ceremonies will be livestreamed. Further details will be released as they become available.
Spring 2025 Timeline

| Feb. 10, 2025 | sdsu.shopoakhalli.com available for graduates to order cap, gown and tassel (if applicable). April 20 is the last day to order regalia from this site. |
| March 11, 2025 | RSVPs for commencement ceremonies available to graduates. You will RSVP for commencement through your MyState portal by logging in and locating the Graduation Application Info card on the right-hand side of your Dashboard. There, you will find the Ceremony RSVP link to confirm your attendance. |
| March 26, 2025 | Deadline to submit future graduates' Request to Participate in Spring 2025 Commencement RSVP. This is the deadline to have your name printed in the 2025 commencement program. |
| April 22, 2025 | Deadline for current or past graduates to RSVP to spring 2025 commencement ceremonies. |
| May 9, 2025 | Official date of graduation (degree date) |
| May 10, 2025 | Commencement ceremonies. |
| May 14, 2025 | All I and IP grades, as well as current coursework must be completed. |
| May 14, 2025 | Official transcripts for transfer credits (whether or not required for degree) must be received in the Registrar's Office. Note: Transcripts from BHSU, DSU, NSU, SDSM&T or USD do not need to be submitted. |
| May 14, 2025 | All requests for degree or registration exceptions (credit by exam, petitions, degree substitutions, waivers, etc.) must be submitted. |
| June 23, 2025 | Official transcripts (with degree posted) are available no later than June 23, 2025. A graduate’s degree is posted after the college notifies the Registrar’s Office of requirement completion. Graduates awaiting official transcripts are encourage to request a transcript and select Hold For Degree. |
| July 15, 2025 | Diplomas will be mailed by Parchment no later than July 15, 2025. |
