Accessibility parking stalls are provided in designated areas for mobility-challenged students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Anyone utilizing an accessible parking stall must display a state-issued disability placard/license plate and have at least a valid SDSU Economy Commuter permit associated with their vehicle or a current visitor permit/hangtag.
A state issued accessibility placard is still required in situations regarding short-term or temporary mobility disability or injury. Individuals will not be granted special parking accommodations without a valid state issued accessibility placard.
Each state is different on how to obtain a state-issued disability placard so please consult with your physician for more information. South Dakota Residents needing more information should visit the South Dakota Department of Revenue's Disability Parking Page.
SDSU Parking Services does not handle the distribution of handicap placards or license plates.
