Pharmaceutical Sciences (B.S.) – Research and Industry Specialization
Turn your interest in science into a career in translational research and drug development.
Pharmaceutical science is an applied field of basic sciences such as chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and microbiology. The pharmaceutical sciences research and industry specialization prepares students to apply scientific knowledge in biomedical and pharmaceutical science to research and industry settings.
Students study areas such as physiology, pharmacology and molecular biology while developing laboratory and analytical skills used in drug discovery and testing. This specialization prepares students for entry-level research roles at universities, research institutes, hospitals and the pharmaceutical or biotech industry or further study in graduate or professional programs.
