Foods – a way of life.
A minor in Food Safety is a valuable option for students interested in working in any aspect of the food industry. Course work in the Food Safety minor will be taught in a variety of formats incorporating lecture, laboratory, and field-based learning experiences.
Students who complete a minor in food safety will be equipped with the ability to identify food pathogens, demonstrate an understanding of food safety management, and engage in the microbiology and safety of food as it is manufactured and distributed.
