“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” This quote attributed to Maya Angelou has been a driving force throughout Dr. Bayer's life, and certainly applies to her commitment to create spaces that value diverse, inclusive perspectives and systems that generate equitable opportunities.

As a life-long learner deeply invested in a strengths-mindset, Shelly enjoys the opportunity to assist students directly in their comprehensive development during their higher education experience. Prior to her current role, she worked in educational development and teaching.
