This document is an informational brochure about Hamilton Portable Engines and the Eclipse Saw Mill. At the top, there is a detailed image of the engine and saw mill. Sawmills were used to cut down trees for lumber. The bottom contains a brief explanation about what these machines do and how it can improve workflow. These engines were manufactured in Ohio and Missouri. Engines during the industrial revolution were powered by steam and could reuse their wood waste by using scraps to power the steam boilers. The first portable engine was invented in 1839 and continued to be manufactured and used in these areas until the early 1900s, when it gradually phased out as other options such as diesel were used.
