In this ca. 1906 photograph is a Gaar-Scott steam traction engine pulling a Port Huron Rusher Thresher. The photograph is related to the Elfring and Betz families from the Foley, Codington County area. The men in the photograph are unidentified and some of them may be from either family. The 14 men sitting on the thresher may also be men from neighboring farms or bindlestiffs, workers who migrated with the harvest.
