Event Details

South Dakota Art Museum Guild Virtual Program - Sept. 22, 9:30-11 a.m.:

  • 9:30-10:30 a.m.   | Behind the Scenes at the Art Museum
  • 10:30-11 a.m. | Art Guild Meeting

South Dakota Art Museum's Jodi Lundgren (interim director and exhibitions curator) and Taylor McKeown (collections curator) will take participants behind the scenes at the museum, with a tour and talk about what goes into their work of preserving, protecting and displaying artworks from the museum's collection. With galleries full of permanent collection exhibitions for the museum's 50th anniversary, this is the perfect time to find out more about how these banner exhibitions came together!

This is the first program in this year's virtual guild talks. Join us for lively conversation and interesting speakers from across the U.S. with ties to South Dakota and the South Dakota Art Museum. The guild provides invaluable support through programs like this, volunteering and art acquisition funds. Guild membership is not required to attend these free programs but the $20/year dues to join support these programs and the Guild's Art Acquisition Fund.

Register in advance for this meeting below.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
