ed2go offers online professional certification classes that are set up specifically for people who are already in the workforce. They offer a diverse catalog featuring everything from beginners grant writing to varying teacher development courses.

  • Note: ed2go is used by many universities around the country within their respected Continuing Education Departments. Find the course that best fits your needs within the catalog, and then search online for universities that offer that same course via their own online channels. Often universities will offer the exact same ed2go classes but at varying rates, allowing you to get the credit through the University title of your choice, while also giving you the ability to find a course that caters to your budget. You do not have to be enrolled at the universities to take these courses, but the certificate will say you achieved it through their respected Continuing Education Department.

National Endowment for Humanities

NEH offers workshops for teachers who want to learn more about American History or other humanities subjects. Teachers can take a one-week workshop to learn how to utilize historical material and archival resources. The workshop is rigorous, but allows educators to work with highly devoted scholars.

WORKSHOPS

National Endowment for Humanities Summer Seminars and Institutes

A program offered by the National Endowment for Humanities gives grant support to teachers who want to work in a summer workshop. These workshops last between one to four weeks on average. All workshops provide models for excellent teaching and scholarship. The workshops focus on helping educators learn new topics, and aim to broaden the understanding of the humanities, and create inquiry in your classroom.
