Meet Hannah Ferens. Hannah is a B.S.N. student at the Brookings site. She is from Fairfax, Virginia.

Why did you choose SDSU to pursue your nursing degree: I loved South Dakota State University because of the opportunities I could have while in the nursing program and also being able to participate in the marching band.

What clinical experience have you enjoyed the most and why: As a fourth semester student, I am finally doing OB clinicals. I have loved being in the Women's Center at Avera on the postpartum floor. I love caring for the sweet babies and moms during this exciting time in their life.

Organizations that you are involved in: The Pride of the Dakotas Marching Ban, the SDSU pep band and FEM club.

Is there a particular field of nursing that you are planning to pursue: Postpartum or labor and delivery.

What is your BIG dream? In the future, I would like to go back to school and become a certified nurse midwife.

What advice would you share with a future nursing student: Make a study group with students that you get along with but also study well with.
