SDSU recognized among best online colleges, degree programs with 12 awards

South Dakota State University has been recognized as one of the top colleges in South Dakota for 2024, especially when it comes to online degree programs, according to Intelligent.com.

The website ranked SDSU No. 2 among the 15 best colleges in South Dakota and No. 3 among the 10 best online colleges in South Dakota.

Other top-20 rankings for SDSU for 2024, among higher education institutions across the country, included its online degree programs for a bachelor’s in psychology (No. 8) and a master’s in sociology (No. 9).

“Online programs provide critical access to higher education for learners across South Dakota and the region. These programs help SDSU extend our campus outside of Brookings so that we can meet students where they are and give them the skills they need to advance their careers,” said Jason Zimmerman, associate dean for SDSU’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Intelligent.com ranks each institution on a scale from 0 to 100 across six categories. Evaluations are based on quantitative measures such as academic quality, graduation rate, cost, return on investment and student resources.
