Career Fair expands

Continuing interest in recruiting SDSU engineering students has prompted the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering add a day to the fall Career Fair.

This year the fair will be divided by subject interest. The focus for Wednesday, Sept. 20, is concrete industry management, construction management, construction technology and civil engineering.

On Sept. 21, the focus is agricultural and biosystems engineering, computational science and statistics, computer science; data science, electrical engineering, electronics engineering technology, engineering technology, mathematics, mechanical engineering, operation management and statistics.

Interviews are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 21-22.

All activities are at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium on the north end of campus, except for the vendor meet-and-greet, which is in the Lewis and Clark Room in the University Student Union from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 20.

Vendor spaces for this fall have sold out. Students can register right up to the day of the event.

At the Feb. 9 winter Career Fair, there were 151 companies, including 39 first-time participants, and 433 students. At the fall Career Fair in October 2022, there were 145 employers and 592 students from freshmen to doctoral candidates.
