The museum is excited to welcome CK Van Dam, author of the book "Lone Tree Claim". This second novel from CK follows Katie, a Civil War widow who homesteaded 160 acres in Dakota Territory to become a sheepherder. Join CK as she discusses the spark that started this book and her vast research of women homesteaders on the Dakota plains. This event is FREE and open to the public and refreshments will be provided.
