South Dakota Art Museum is hosting a free public reception to celebrate the My Hero! Contemporary Art and Superhero Action exhibition on view through Oct. 2. Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
At 5:45 p.m., Ricky Ganzi, M.A., English Instructor, Brookings High School, will present a talk, "Therapy, Not Fatigue: The Multifariously Wonderful Divine Existence of Modern Hero Myth."
My Hero! was was organized by Carrie Lederer, Curator of Exhibitions, Bedford Gallery, Lesher Center for the Arts, Walnut Creek, California. For more information about this exhibition, visit: My Hero! Contemporary Art and Superhero Action.
This reception will also be an opportunity to view works in the other current exhibitions:

Parking is available just west of the Art Museum on Harvey Dunn Street (in the Museum's free lot and after 4:00 in the lot in front of West Hall). There is also parking available behind Scobey Hall) without permit after 4:00 and also on the street. Handicapped parking is available immediately west of the museum on Harvey Dunn Street and in the Museum's parking lot on Harvey Dunn Street.
