Kiera Pinto

Biography

Kiera Pinto is an intern with the Community Practice Innovation Center. Kiera is working on the BREATHE-SD grant with a focus on public health awareness. She is also working on “Big Squeeze” through the Sioux Falls Department of Health and will help with the research and development of a Physical Activity Directory. Kiera is currently a Junior at Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, TN. Her primary Research interests are in Public Health and Kinesiology. Her mission is to help and improve the health of the community. Kiera has been a competitive swimmer for 6 years. She is also a Junior Elite Triathlete that competes for all of the USA. She is on a High-Performance Triathlete Team based in Des Moines, Iowa. Kiera is on the Varsity XC and Track Team for her high school. She is involved with HOSA and Knights for a Cure school clubs.
