The Division of Research and Economic Development is responsible for pre-award services related to proposals and contracts. These functions include serving as the institution's official business office for submission of proposals to federal agencies and external organizations that fund sponsored programs. We are also responsible for ensuring that the university is in compliance with federal and state regulations related to research, commercialization and management of intellectual property, and university-wide environmental health and safety. Additionally, we coordinate SDSU's priorities with the South Dakota Congressional delegation and federal agencies as well development of collaborations with private industry.
The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is the systematic inquiry of teaching and learning where results are critically reviewed and made public. The SDSU Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning provides comprehensive support to all faculty members interested in pursuing SoTL research.
