Types of Services
We offer free and fee-based services.
Free Service
For the free service, we provide information about available analytical and instructional resources. We also provide statistical and technological advice so that researcher may independently analyze their own data. For the free service, we only provide insight and will not carry out the statistical analysis. We will provide information about available analytical and instructional resources. As consultants, we will suggest various analytical approaches that can be used to analyze the data along with their pros and cons. The final decision on the statistical method to use is up to the researcher and their team.
Our free services are provided for current SDSU faculty, staff, and students. For students, in order to qualify for the free service, we require a letter from their supervisor (it can be from student's thesis/dissertation adviser, department chair for the faculties, etc.). Each currently enrolled SDSU student, faculty, and staff is offered 30 minutes of no charge consulting per semester. Appointments are available in 30 minutes blocks. If you do not show for an appointment, it will count as a half an hour visit. Additional time may be offered if it is possible.
Fee-Based Service
The fee based service is available for all researchers and external industries with priority given to current SDSU faculty, staff and students. We provide the following services for a fee:
- Write program code.
- Analyze the data, interpret and write report.
Financial Arrangement
Financial arrangements are as follows
- Student consultant: $50 per hour
- Faculty consultant: $100 per hour
