The South Dakota State University School of Performing Arts will present instructor of music Bradley Snyder in a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

The program, titled “Skylines,” features music connected to three of the most iconic cities in the United States: Manhattan, Chicago and Boston.

Snyder, a trombonist, will perform Daniela Candillari’s evocative work, “Extremely Close,” which has been programmed in recognition of the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11. The work was inspired by Jonathan Safran Foer’s novel, “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close,” which chronicles a young boy’s life journey after losing his father in the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Snyder will be joined by Mark Stevens at the piano.

The event is free, and the public is invited to attend. For more information, contact the SDSU School of Performing Arts at 605-688-5187.
