College of Nursing achieving remarkable milestones

Greetings, friends.

As we near Hobo Day, it is a great time to reflect upon the continued march toward PREMIER in the college. This edition of our newsletter celebrates two of the greatest strengths of the South Dakota State University College of Nursing: the excellence that defines our work and the new faces who help shape our future.

In addition to the great accomplishments outlined here, we have recently been recognized as a National League for Nursing Center of Excellence in Nursing Education. I could not be prouder of our team that came together to make this happen.

Throughout the year, members of our college community have achieved remarkable milestones. Whether through incredible facilities, research accomplishments, clinical innovation, service or leadership, these achievements reflect a culture dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement.

Equally exciting is the opportunity to welcome new faculty, staff and students into our community. Every new member brings fresh ideas, unique experiences and renewed energy that strengthens our college and expands our collective impact. Their contributions will help us continue to meet the evolving needs of healthcare and nursing education.

Together, these stories of achievement and new beginnings remind us that excellence is not a destination but a journey. It is sustained by the people who challenge, support and inspire one another every day.

Thank you for being part of this extraordinary community. I hope you enjoy reading about the accomplishments, milestones and new members featured in this issue. Let us continue celebrating our successes while embracing the opportunities that lie ahead.

Go Big, Go Blue, Go Jacks!
