Career fair attendance tops 1,000 again
For the third consecutive year, student visits at the Engineering Career Fair topped 1,000, this time being 1,058, just off last year’s record count of 1,086 visits. The 2024 mark was 1,001.
The Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering Career Fair was Sept. 16-17 at Club 71 and loge-level spaces in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium on the South Dakota State University campus.
This year were there 463 visits the first day with 595 the second day.
The employer count was 121 the first day and 104 the second day.
The two-day fair was divided by major with civil engineering, construction management, concrete industry management, and architecture and design on Sept. 16. The second day was mechanical engineering, computer science, mathematics, ag and biosystems engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering technology, and data sciences and statistics.
The spring Engineering Career Fair is Feb. 24-25.
