2024 IDS Summer eLearning Academy
Unleashing the Power of Digital Engagement - Online Community Building, Connection and Belonging
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming 2024 Summer eLearning Academy. This academy aims to create, connect and support student success through online communities, fostering a positive and student success-centered eLearning environment. The central theme of the academy is to emphasize the importance of creating a strong sense of presence and community in the online learning environment. By fostering high engagement with course content, peers, success resources, and tutors, we can support and enhance the online learning experience for our learners.
The 2024 Summer eLearning Academy will take place on May 9 and 10 via Zoom. To accommodate your schedules, we are offering two sessions each day: one in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and one in the afternoon from 1- 4 p.m. This will allow you to select one of the four cohorts that best aligns with your availability.
With support from the provost, we are pleased to offer a stipend of $125 to the first two hundred nine-month faculty participants. Stipend will be paid after faculty participate the Zoom session and complete a final 15 minutes consultation with IDS designer on your implementing the strategies learned from the Academy. This stipend serves as an incentive and acknowledgment of your commitment to enhancing student success through online community-building efforts.
To secure your spot in the 2024 Summer eLearning Academy, please register by May 3. You can access the registration form. Please note that spaces are limited, and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
We believe that by investing in the power of digital engagement and online community building, we can create an exceptional eLearning experience for our students. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance your teaching practices and contribute to our collective goal of student success. We look forward to your active participation in the 2024 Summer eLearning Academy!
