Winter D2L Bootcamp - Gear Up for Spring 2024

Instructional Design Services would like to invite you to participate in the Winter D2L Bootcamp to prepare your Spring 2024 D2L classes.

Per the BOR syllabus guidelines and BOR Policy 2:37, all classes must have syllabus updated and posted in D2L three (3) working days prior to the start of term. To ensure compliance with this policy, it is critical that all SDSU faculty have the necessary knowledge and skills (SDSU syllabus policy) to prepare Spring 2024 D2L classes.

The Winter D2L Bootcamp is half day, two Zoom training sessions, from 9-11 a.m. or 1-3 p.m. on Dec. 14 and Dec. 15. After completion of two Zoom sessions and uploaded syllabus in D2L, you will get an IDS badge signed by Provost Hedge and department head/school director to recognize your professional development. Additionally, you’ll get three points towards CPETE Professional Development Award.

The following topics will be covered in the D2L Bootcamp:

  1. Updating syllabi: you will learn how to update syllabi that meet the necessary SDSU syllabus requirements for your Spring 2024 courses.
  2. Uploading syllabi to D2L: you will learn how to upload syllabi to D2L Content.
  3. Using Ally accessibility checker: you will learn how to use Ally to improve the accessibility of your course files.
