As the nation marks 25 years since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania — and reflects during the United States’ 250th anniversary — South Dakota State University’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences will present a public panel featuring firsthand accounts from that day.
South Dakota State University is ready to welcome back students for move-in weekend starting Friday, Aug. 21.

From aerospace to concrete, 25 clubs associated with the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering will be showcasing their work during the college’s inaugural Student Success Showcase Sept. 10 in the parking south of the Campanile.
The event will be held in conjunction with the One Day for State fundraiser and celebration organized by the SDSU Alumni & Foundation.
Thanks to the generosity of Paul and Maria Wintrode, South Dakota State University and the Sioux Falls School District are partnering to improve autism-specific education for both young adults and teachers who support them.
Three graduates from the 1970s, two graduates from the 1980s and a nontraditional graduate from the 1990s comprise the six Jackrabbits who have risen to the top of their fields and have been selected for the 2026 Class of Distinguished Alumni by the SDSU Alumni & Foundation.

The South Dakota Art Museum invites the community to gather for evenings of live music, family-friendly activities and summer fun during the Anderson Plaza Summer Performance Series. The free outdoor concert series takes place Tuesday evenings in July on Anderson Plaza, located behind the museum on the South Dakota State University campus.
The South Dakota State University College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences will host three field days in eastern South Dakota. Each one will feature SDSU researchers sharing their expertise on a variety of topics applicable to local farmers and community members.
There will be something for everyone at the South Dakota State University Southeast Research Farm Grain and Horticulture Crops Field Day on Tuesday, July 7, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
