We offer bachelor’s degrees with majors in biology, environmental management, and microbiology, with several areas of specialized study.
Our department has more than 40 excellent faculty members who teach and conduct research on all levels of biological organization—from molecules to microbes to ecosystems. The programs we offer draw from this rich source of biological science expertise, resulting in strong and competitive programs.
Our students are also encouraged to become active in Department of Biology and Microbiology student clubs. Experiences in these clubs provide invaluable professional work experience and allow students to become acquainted with faculty members, helping the students develop their full potential as experts in the fields of biology and microbiology. Student club activities also aid in assisting graduates who seek entry into professional employment.
