University Apartments

University apartment rates are for individual tenants. Rates are billed per month to the preferred payment method set up in the leasing agreement.

Meal Plans

Student who graduated high school in 2022 or later are required to have a university meal plan. Meal plans are billed per semester to the student's university billing account. Left over meal plan funds from the Fall semester will transfer to the Spring semester. Any unused meal plan funds at the end of the academic year will be wiped from the student's account.

  • $68 in Flex Dollars.

  • 100 meals at Larson Commons.
  • $865 in Flex Dollars.

  • $1,114 in Flex Dollars.

This plan is only available to upper division students living in Hansen Hall and the Meadows Apartments

If you do not select a meal plan you will be assigned the default plan of 50 Block and $1,114 in Flex.

  • All students living on campus are required to have a meal plan. The only exception is if you are a 2022 or earlier High School graduate and live in Meadows apartments.
  • If you are a 2024 High School graduate, you can only choose a Block Meal Plan.
  • If you are a 2023 High School graduate or higher and select a West Flex Meal Plan, we will default you to the Bronze Flex Meal Plan as 2023 AND UP are NOT ELIGIBLE for the West Flex Plan.

The policy for the South Dakota State University Housing and Residential Life Meal Plan Exemption/Accommodation Guidelines and Process are established for students requesting an exemption from the SDSU Meal Plan program. The Meal Plan Exemption Policy covers meal plans for all students required to purchase a meal plan.

The last day to change your Fall 2024 Meal Plan Option is Friday, Aug. 30, 2024 at 5 p.m.
