Holiday Cheese Box Sales
The cheese box fundraiser throughout the holiday season is the Dairy Club's largest fundraiser. Over 8,000 pounds of cheese is produced by dairy and food science students in the dairy plant and cut, packaged, and sold by dairy club members throughout the fall semester. Cheese boxes are sold in the SDSU Dairy Bar and can also be ordered online or by mail and can be shipped to any desired location.
A few of the highlights from the past year that we accomplished thanks to cheese box purchases include:
- Awarded eight $500 scholarships to Dairy Science and non-Dairy Science members who are actively involved in the Dairy club.
- Publish the Dairy Club’s yearbook, The Dairy Digest. The Digest is sent to the Department’s Alumni, parents, friends and throughout the dairy industry.
- Attending dairy related events including the Central Plains Dairy Expo, World Dairy Expo, and Ag Day in Sioux Falls.
- The Dairy club hosted the seventeenth annual dairy camp where youth from surrounding states spent three days at SDSU learning about fitting, showmanship, and all things dairy.

The online order form for cheese boxes (found at: https://jackrabbitcentral.com) will be live until December 2. Please note that if you order from the bookstore an automated processing & shipping email is sent. Cheese boxes will not be sent until early December.
New this year
We will be selling cheese boxes based on four different pre-set boxes which are listed below. The Dairy Club has implemented a set cost for the cheese box and tax at $30.00. This year the shipping cost is set at $12.50 a box; however, it can only ship to the lower 48 states. We continue to encourage you to choose the Pickup Option or reach out to us for additional pick-up locations for larger orders.
