Food and Families Nutrition and Physical Activity Programs

SDSU Extension strives to connect the research and unbiased nutrition and physical activity information and programs with the people of South Dakota, our region and across the nation.

SDSU Extension provides training, technical assistance and additional programming resources throughout South Dakota focusing on nutrition, physical activity, family meals and food preparation. Focused programs such as the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - Education (SNAP-Ed) provide outreach to educate individuals of all ages on the importance of making healthier food choices and how best to provide when resources are limited.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about how to receive information on nutrition education from the South Dakota State University Nutrition Education Program, please contact the SDSU Extension.
