SDSU commencement ceremonies back at Dacotah Bank Center
South Dakota State University commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2024 will be held May 4 at the Dacotah Bank Center in Brookings. The move from campus is due to construction in Frost Arena as that facility continues its transformation into First Bank & Trust Arena.
SDSU pharmacy students share expertise with older adults
What dietary supplements should I be taking? What is the best brand? What weight loss medications are available? What non-medication approaches work well for weight loss? These and other questions were addressed by two trios of pharmacy students from South Dakota State University through 40-minute Zoom presentations Jan. 12 and Jan. 19. The presentations were made to participants in a Sioux Falls-based Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) program.

SDSU grads present substance use disorder research at APHA annual meeting
Two graduates of the Master of Public Health program at South Dakota State University recently presented research posters at the American Public Health Association 2023 Annual Meeting and Expo. The event took place in Atlanta, Georgia, Nov. 12-15. Sarah Schweitzer and Cedric Cogdill, 2023 graduates of the program, presented on research related to stigma surrounding substance use disorder, utilizing survey data.
SDSU pharmacy program expanding to add second post-graduate residency with Lewis Drug
South Dakota State University’s College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions will expand its community-based pharmacy residency program from one to two residencies beginning in 2024. Since 2012, SDSU has offered one residency as part of its joint residency program with Lewis Drug.
