Textbook Email Sent from Bookstore to Students

Subject: Do Not Delete – Important SDSU Spring 2026 Course Information

This email is to inform you that you have enrolled in a class that is participating in the South Dakota Board of Regents First Day Access Program, which supplies you with your required course materials.

1. Do not delete this email as important links are contained below.
2. Do not purchase textbooks or other course materials for this course before attending class.
3. You have been billed for required course materials, which will show on your tuition and fee statement as a “FirstDayAccess etextbook chrg.”
4. To access your electronic course materials, you must log into your course via D2L.
   1. eBook only – Click on Course Tools, then VitalSource Course.
   2. Courseware – Find external link (usually under Contents) that will take you directly to the publisher's website.
5. If you wish to obtain your required course materials via other means after attending your first class. Follow the steps below:
   1. Click on the link below to visit your First Day Access Student Portal utilizing Google Chrome.
   2. Locate the title that you desire to opt out of and click on the “Opt-Out of Item” button located on the actions tab.
   3. The last day to opt-out is Jan. 21, 2026.
   4. Credit for the First Day Access charge will appear no later than Jan. 26, 2025.
