Study Hub: Online Tutoring

To support student success with the transition to online learning, the Continuing and Distance Education Office has developed helpful resources for students. You will find many resources and tips for students, as well as Student Success Videos for Online Learners.

Smarthinking Online Tutoring:

Continuing and Distance Education and SDState have partnered with Smarthinking to provide online tutoring services to students enrolled in SDSU online courses. Students can access Smarthinking tutoring through D2L, and tutoring is available in the following subjects:

Business: Question submission in the areas of accounting, economics and finance.

Computers & Technology: Expert help from IT educators in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Math & Statistics: Question submission and support in basic math, Calculus and more. Math tutoring in Spanish is available.

Reading: Support in reading comprehension, sentence skills, word level skills and vocabulary development.

Science: Topics include biology, general chemistry, human anatomy and physiology, organic chemistry and physics.

Spanish: Personalized feedback for improved writing and assistance with grammar questions.

Writing: Detailed critique of written work in any discipline, including cover letter and resume with access to ESL specialists.
