Wellness Center Facility Space
Studios A & B
Studios A and B contain wood floors with surrounding wall-mounted mirrors. Studio B, which is our spin studio, features an overhead projector with a drop-down screen. Both studios boast new stereos systems, in-ceiling speakers, and wireless headset microphones. These studios accommodate our many group fitness classes and may also be rented for a multitude of activities.
Studio C
Studio C is our personal training studio and is located in the upstairs in The View. Studio C is equipped with wall mounted speakers and mirrors, dual adjustable pulley system, and other various equipment.
Racquetball Courts
The SDSU Wellness Center offers two regulation sized, fully enclosed, racquetball courts. Each court is furnished with a protective casing for personal belongings, outlets, and adjustable light settings. Activities that can be played in these two courts include racquetball and wallyball. Members and students may reserve this space, free of charge, for a maximum one hour per day. If this space has not been previously reserved or rented, then the space is first come, first served. Anyone who wishes to reserve a racquetball court are asked to complete the online booking form.
Wellness Center Green
Grass field located West of the Wellness Center Expansion. Anyone is welcome to rent this great location and enjoy some outdoor recreational activities. We are also able to provide a multitude of outdoor games such as cornhole, bocce ball, ladder golf, and many more at an affordable price. Feel free to ask what other games are available as well!
Indoor Track
Looking to go for a run or walk but the typical South Dakota weather not cooperating? Come enjoy our 190 meter 4 lane indoor track. Track is located on the 2nd floor of the Wellness Center directly above our weight floor and courts 1-3.
Courts 1-3
These connecting courts feature six drop-down basketball hoops and three volleyball standards. These courts can be separated by our ceiling-mounted divider curtains to make up three separate courts with their own electronic scoreboards. The versatility and combination size of courts 1-3 make it perfect for hosting events that include basketball or volleyball, along with other activities such as dodgeball, kickball, and much more!
Court 4
Added as part of our 2018 facility expansion, Court 4 features a wood floor painted with the famous blue & yellow checkerboard baselines and complete with the interlocking SD logo at center court. Court 4 includes two drop-down basketball hoops with adjustable heights and easy-to-use drop-down volleyball standards. This court also features a multi-sport electronic scoreboard that is available upon request.
Multi-Activity Court (MAC)
Included with the Wellness Center’s 2018 facility expansion, the multi-activity court, or MAC, is a fully enclosed court space with special rubber flooring, plexiglas West wall, bull nosed corners, built in goals and a team bench area. This space is great for activities such as soccer, dodgeball, badminton and pickleball, but also can offer so much more. The MAC features drop-down netting that can be used for baseball, softball, and even golf! The versatility does not stop here. The MAC can also host conferences, guest speakers, dances and post-proms! Equipment for these events can be arranged by the Wellness Center for an additional fee.
Climbing Wall
Indoor climbing area that contains a 12-foot bouldering wall, 25- and 35-foot top rope walls, 12 ropes, and ever changing routes. Not an experienced climber? No worries. Our student staff can show you, or your organization, the ins and outs of climbing techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
Conference Room
Looking for a new and refreshing meeting space? The Wellness Center’s conference room is a fantastic option for your next meeting. The room comes fully equipped with audio and visual capabilities, counter space and a sink.
The conference room can comfortably seat 30 people. Possible room set ups include classroom, lecture, and conference style with tables and chairs. If your event requires a special set up let us know and it can be accommodated.
Indoor Pool
Looking to take a dip? The indoor pool located in the HPER, attached to the Wellness Center, is the perfect place to do so. Our pool features six 25-yard lap lanes and a 12-foot diving well, giving it the versatility to allow for workouts, training, or just having fun in the water. Feel free to ask about any of our water equipment that is available for an additional rental fee. Locker rooms, with showers and suit drying machines, are available in the Wellness Center for pool user’s convenience.
