- Friday, February 5, 1-4 p.m., Passive Paint Competition
February 5 Passive Paint Competition. Pick up a canvas, blue and yellow paint, and create your best Jackrabbit artwork for Cadi Kadlecek's office in Honors Hall 119. All submissions should be submitted by Monday, Feb 8 at 5 p.m.

- Wednesday, February 10-Friday, February 12, Passive Valentine's Day Event
Create 2-3 Valentines for friends and loved ones in the Honors Lobby. Pick up the supplies you would like to use to spread kindness and love. Return supplies when finished!
- Now! Rose Sale Fundraiser for HCSO
HCSO will be selling roses for Valentine's Day! Pickup will be in Honors Hall on Thursday, February 11 and Friday, February 12.
- Wednesday, February 17 join HCSO at 7 p.m., Valentine's Day Party
The Valentine's Day Party, will includes cookie decorating, speed "dating" and making cute Valentine's day cards in the Honors Hall Classroom during the HCSO meeting. Sign up will be available on Instagram!
- Wednesday, February 17, Celebrate National Random Acts of Kindness Day
Celebrate National Random Acts of Kindness Day by telling us about your kind deeds on February 17 by dropping a note in the envelope on the Honors Office Door between 9-5 p.m.

91 students participated in Awkward party festivities this year! Due to social distancing guidelines, HCSO leaders Emily Toms and Maddie Fitch decided to host an interactive scavenger hunt. Students could participate in the event face-to-face on campus or virtually! Maddie, upon reflecting on the event explained, "The Awkward Party was a great way to introduce freshman to the HCSO. It was exciting to meet incoming Honors students and learn what their interests are. I cannot wait to see what this semester holds for everyone involved in Honors!"
Can You Paint Like Bob Ross?
Honors Hall CAs Carolyn and Kari hosted an event that invited residents to show off their Bob Ross painting skills. Awards were presented in categories such as “Most Like Bob” and “Most Original.”
HCSO Chalk Competition
HCSO hosted a chalk art competition in the courtyard of Honors Hall. The event provided some time for students to be creative and social—a perfect break from Homework. More than 25 students participated and the art on the sidewalk provided joy to all of those that walked by.
Upperclassmen Tile and Canvas Paint Night
Seventeen Upperclassmen participated in a canvas and tile paint night sponsored by The Brookings Arts Council, organized by Honors Graduate Assistant Amanda Husted. This event allowed students to participate in fellowship and have a gathering point as we approach the end of the semester.
Halloween Party: The kind you had in Elementary School
Much joy was spread, to and between the 35 participants, at the 2020 Honors College Halloween Party: The kind you had in elementary school. From obscure Halloween Trivia to painting and bingo, all that participated left with snacks in hand and a smile on their face.
