Editing Profile
Edit your SDSU Directory Profile
- Log in to Drupal.
- Go to sdstate.edu and scroll to the footer. Under "For Faculty and Staff" section, click "My Account."
- On the "Log In" page, click "Log in with Single Sign On," the yellow button on the left side.
- Navigate to your profile page by clicking on your name in the top toolbar (i.e. Jack.Rabbit) and then select "View account."
- Once on your account page, find your profile under the "Your Content" section and then click the “(Edit)” button next to your name.
- Edit profile fields.
- Your name, department, title, location and contact information are pulled from Banner. To edit this information, click the "Edit Contact Information on InsideState" button.
- This is then reviewed by Human Resources to be updated in Banner. Then it will be updated automatically on both the InsideState directory and sdstate.edu directory.
- Title field: The title field can be overwritten in Drupal by using the Working Title.
- The biography, education, academic and professional experience, research and scholar work, social media and related links are self-entered.
- Photos: Employee photos for the website need to be professionally done. A portrait studio is available on campus.
- Faculty profiles: See specific guidelines.
- Your name, department, title, location and contact information are pulled from Banner. To edit this information, click the "Edit Contact Information on InsideState" button.
- Saving the page: From dropdown next to "Change to:" choose one of the following statuses:
- Ready to Review: If it is ready to be published.
- In Progress: If you want to hold on publishing changes or are still editing.

- Content to Avoid: The university website, including profiles, is a platform for university-sponsored content, messaging and speech. It is not a platform for personal content, messaging and speech. Avoid statements that explicitly advocate for particular social policies or political positions or endorse specific viewpoints on contemporary political debate or social action.

- Web Platform: SDSU utilizes Drupal for web content management. Training and support for Drupal editing are available through the Web Services team.
