Permit Types

All permits below are available for purchase from the Transportation Services office by accessing your online parking account.

Student Residential Permits

For students who live on campus.

    Southeast Resident (SE)

    • Southeast Resident permits are valid for all SE (yellow) lots

    Northwest Resident (NW)

    • Northwest Resident permits are valid for their NW (purple) lots.

    Family Housing (FH)

    • Family Housing permits are only available for students residing in a family housing complex on the east side of campus.

    Motorcycle/Moped/Scooter (MC)

    • Motorcycles require a permit to park on campus. All cycles using a MC permit are only permitted to park in designated motorcycle/moped parking areas. 

    Off Campus Student & Employee Permits

    For students who live off campus and attend classes on campus. Also for employees who work on campus.

    Reserved (X)

    • Guaranteed daytime campus parking for employees in a specific parking lot. These permits are sold as stalls become available.

    Campus Commuter (CC)

    • Campus Commuter permits are valid for all Campus Commuter (blue). Purchasing a commuter permit does not reserve nor guarantee a parking stall in a specific lot.

    Economy (EC)

    • To provide more cost-efficient parking options, Economy permits are available for purchase. EC permits are valid for the Economy (orange) lots.

    Motorcycle/Moped/Scooter (MC)

    • Motorcycles require a permit to park on campus. All cycles using a MC permit are only permitted to park in designated motorcycle/moped parking areas. 

    Other Permits

    Temporary

    • Temporary parking permits are available for those who work on campus on a temporary or irregular basis. This permit is issued on different classifications and is only valid for up to 30 days. They are issued exclusively at the Transportation Services office. 

    Gold Key

    • Gold Key permits are a special benefit provided to individuals who provided a service to the University and have retired.

    Wellness Center

    • Wellness Center permits are only available for Wellness Center members who are not students or employees at SDSU. They are issued exclusively at the Wellness Center.
