The Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership provides undergraduate coursework leading to certification in Early Childhood Education and Secondary Teacher Education, as well as graduate programs in Educational Administration and Curriculum and Instruction. Most of the programs in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership require some sort of internship or student teaching experience. The undergraduate teacher education programs in both Early Childhood Education and Secondary Education have multiple field experiences including a semester dominated by student teaching. Graduate programs include some form of internship. These internships are part of the expected coursework in these programs
