Baritone William Sharp will hold a guest artist recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Peterson Recital Hall on the South Dakota State University campus.
Sharp is in South Dakota to perform with the South Dakota Symphony’s Music Unwound program.
Known as one of the foremost interpreters of the music of Charles Ives, he has been praised by The New York Times as a “sensitive and subtle singer,” and has garnered critical acclaim for his works in recitals, operas and recordings.

Art Museum Guild Program: Talk by artist Peter Reichardt, Studio Art Lecturer, South Dakota State University School of Design. Peter's work has been featured in South Dakota Art Museum exhibitions including, Heart to Heart, imPULSE: Peter Reichardt and Andres Torres and the upcoming South Dakota Governor's 8th Biennial Art Exhibition (opening January 25, 2019).
Peter's talk begins at 10:00 a.m. with coffee served at 9:30. This is free and open to the public; Art Guild membership not required.

Join us for a reception celebrating the photography of Frank Robertson. An award-winning veteran photojournalist, Robertson has worked with the Chillicothe Gazette in Ohio, the Sioux Falls Argus Leader and the Aberdeen American News. A selection of his work titled "Bearing Witness to Community" is on display at Briggs Library. His remarks will begin at 5 pm.
South Dakota State University Associate Professor Tammy Yonce will premiere two works fduring her faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Lincoln Music Hall’s Peterson Recital Hall.
Yonce will debut Clare Shore’s “Intensities of Degrees,” which incorporates both flute and alto flute. She will also play a new work, “Woody Creek Breakdown,” by Wes Flinn. She will be joined by Associate Professor Michael Walsh for a piece by Matthew Saunders.
