SDSU in conjunction with USDA-FSIS is providing a learning opportunity for all who are interested in food safety and public health. The 2020 South Dakota Food Safety Summit will be held August 19 at the South Dakota State University Animal Science Complex.
The goal of the summit is to educate, exchange information and open the lines of communication between the different segments of industry, public health officials and regulatory agencies.
The South Dakota State University Animal Science faculty and staff are gearing up to host Beef 2020 January 7-9, 2020. Beef 2020 is designed to provide an intensive, hands-on, educational opportunity to enhance the understanding of the production and marketing of high quality, high value beef. Attendees do not need to be cattle producers to attend the program. Anyone affiliated with the beef industry - producers, allied industry representatives, locker operators, restaurateurs, retailers - is welcome.
