Students' Association Election

A group of 15 new Students’ Association senators and the next student body president and vice president were elected to serve for the next academic year during the Students' Association's general election on Tuesday, March 29th, and Wednesday, March 30th. 

Candidates in the College of Agriculture Food and Environmental Science: Tyler Rasmussen, Jessica Kott, Trinity Peterson and Ryder Mortensonwere elected as Students’ Association senators for the College of CAFES; Elijah Downs was not elected.

Candidates in the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences: Betsey Williams, Rachel Goldsmith, Nicholas Grote, and Michael Garofalo were elected as Students’ Association senators for the College of AHSS; Hannah Nelson, Katelyn Mahan, Johnathan Sundet, and Garrett Satterly were not elected.

Blake Pulse and Anna Shane were elected Students’ Association President and Vice President, respectively. 

There are eleven senator-at-large seats available for positions not filled in the general election. Applications for these seats are currently open. Information about the senator-at-large application process will be published on the SA website, announced in the Rabbit Report, and shared on SA social media channels.

All new senators will be sworn in during the Students’ Association Senate meeting on Monday, April 11th at 7:00 pm.

The Students’ Association is comprised of all General Activity Fee-paying students at SDSU. The Students’ Association Senate is the official student government organization at SDSU, consisting of 26 senators representing each of the academic colleges and the student body president and vice president. The Students’ Association Senate meets weekly during the academic year on Mondays at 7:00 PM. Further information is available at sa.sdstate.edu.
