Student Success Advising
Student Success Advisors play an important role in the advising experience for SDSU students. Student Success Advisors are charged with improving the retention rates of all students by facilitating one-on-one consultations with students and by coordinating programs proven to positively affect student retention in higher education. Consultations focus on topics like time and stress management, adjusting to college, building relationships and finding campus resources.
Student Connection and Engagement has two student success advisors who support all students, with a focus on those from underrepresented backgrounds.
Students can connect with a student success advisor by scheduling an appointment via ConnectState, calling Student Connection and Engagement at 605-688-5585, or stopping by the Student Engagement Center in the University Student Union (Room 271).
