Visit Tips

We are dedicated to the health and safety of our visitors and staff. Here are some guidelines to make sure you have the best museum and store visit possible.

FACE COVERINGS

All visitors are required to wear face coverings while inside the museum and in all South Dakota State University buildings per the university's face covering protocol. Face coverings must cover the nose and mouth completely and not contain vents, openings, holes, or be made of mesh. Face coverings are not currently required outside on the grounds of Anderson Plaza. Please contact sdsu.sdam@sdstate.edu with any questions.

6 FEET APART

Please maintain a 6-foot distance from visitors not in your party.

ARE YOU WELL?

If you feel ill or have a fever, please stay home and reschedule your visit.

CLEAN HANDS

Please feel welcome to use the automatic door openers when entering the museum. We ask that you avoid touching surfaces within the museum as much as possible. Hand sanitizing stations can be found at the welcome desk, at the top of the stairwell to the lower level, and outside the rest rooms in the lower level.

KIDS IMAGINATION STATION

The Kids Imagination Station is temporarily closed.

EARLY ACCESS HOURS

Wednesdays, 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. - Early Access Hours for the museum including the Museum Store for people who are at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
