Ice cream has become a temptation few can resist. So, we couldn’t resist celebrating ice cream during National Ice Cream Month, aka July! In today’s Throwback Thursday, these eight youngsters happily partake of the delicious confection. A few facts about ice cream: originally seen in 5th century BCE Greece, ice cream has now become an over $10 billion industry, according to the Spaceman USA website. One gallon of Ice cream takes three gallons of whole milk, 9% of which goes into the production of ice cream, according to Cornell University. Vanilla comes in the most popular flavor and hot fudge is ranked as the most popular topping. The Southern Food Junkie website relays that Thomas Jefferson’s recipe for the confection is considered to be the oldest in the US. Even with all these facts, we agree with these young men, the simple deliciousness makes it always a good time for ice cream.
