The Graphic Design/Marketing Internship offers students the opportunity to explore and experience a variety of marketing and graphic design projects. The museum is a unique business where we have a retail outlet with our gift shop, we are educating the public with programming and exhibits, and market as a tourist destination. The intern would be working a few hours each week at the front desk/gift shop.
Pay scale: $10.00 per hour for 40 hours a week for 10 weeks
(With possibly continuing employment as a part-time employee during fall and spring semesters.) Work-study preferred but not required.
Schedule: Weekday 8 am to 5 pm with rotating weekends.

Possible Internship Projects
Marketing:

Design print advertising for gift shop sales, events and exhibits

Design banners, postcards, and other marketing material for events and exhibits

Help with developing marketing material for membership program and general advertising.

Writing press releases for upcoming events and exhibits

Writing articles for the quarterly newsletter

Writing blog posts and other social media material

Assist with selecting photographs
