Annual meetings of the Great Plains Sociological Association (GPSA) afford new and seasoned researchers the opportunity to present their findings in an academic, yet comfortable, setting. Students and instructors are encouraged to submit their work and participate in these activities. The Association gives graduate and undergraduate students an opportunity to present papers in an amiable, albeit professional, atmosphere.
Old friends and new acquaintances can get together to share and exchange ideas, discuss what is new in the sociological world, or just reminisce. The Association currently has over 70 registered members. Current officers include:
- President: Patricia Ahmed, SDSU
- Vice President: Krista Minnotte, UND
- Secretary-Treasurer: Andrew Kubas, NDSU
- Past President Gina Alagaard-Kelly, NDSU
The Association annually releases The Great Plains Sociologist, the official publication of GPSA. Submissions from faculty and students are welcome. Please submit articles for The Great Plains Sociologist online to the editor, Laura Chilberg, BHSU.
Links to digital copies of prior Great Plains Sociologist volumes, sorted by year of release, will be posted below as soon as proper formatting is verified.
