Abstract

"The College on the Hill" is an anecdotal history of South Dakota State University from 1881 to 2003 co-written by Amy Dunkle and V.J. Smith, Alumni Association Director. This collection is composed of manuscript materials and research gathered for the writing of the book for the book "College on the Hill."

The Manuscript series is composed of manuscript materials for the book College on the Hill. These are arranged by chapter and include drafts, with revisions, proofs, and images. Also included are some photographic images used in the book, and correspondence with the co-author Amy Dunkle.

Series 2. Research.

The Research series is composed of research gathered by the authors for the writing of the book "College on the Hill." The bulk of this series consists of photocopied material from university related publications and notes from interviews. Folders are arranged in alphabetical order by topic.

South Dakota State University supports access to the materials, published and unpublished, in its collections. Nonetheless, access to some items may be restricted as a result of their fragile condition or by contractual agreements with donors.

Copyright note

Copyright restrictions apply in different ways to different materials. Many of the documents and other historical materials in the Archives are in the public domain and may be reproduced and used in any way.
